I am packing my bags and sorting out final loose ends before flying to South Africa tomorrow (Friday, Oct. 19th).
My non-stop flight is from Atlanta to Johannesburg ... ugh! Enough time to read, sleep, eat, watch movies, ... read, sleep, eat, etc. ...
I will arrive in Thohoyandou in the Limpopo Province sometime on Sunday and will start my adventure at the University of Venda on Monday. The Fulbright Program is providing this opportunity to work with colleagues (a former geography student) in the Geography Dept. and the Youth and Gender Studies Program for one month. Ann, I'm so glad to see these words that you've arrived in Africa safe and sound after an uneventful trip. Don't apologize about the latitude and longitude stats -- they show just how far away you are. Mom
