In twenty-four hours, the United Airlines pilot will give 85% to the engines. The Washington-state made Boeing 757 will gain speed, and off we go, heading south. This 2-month trip will be my first attempt to spend part of the winter in warmer climes.

People are warning me of the dangers: Don't drive at night; Don't go wild on tequila; Take your sunscreen and use it; Cover your head, lest it get burned so badly you will want to return and stick your head in a bank of snow up at Crystal Mountain. So much for being forewarned.
