What d'ya mean, "I'm the driver so you have to cook the meals?"!!
Day 3 and we’ve gone our separate ways already - only for a day though! Joey is in Vancouver, as planned, moving and shaking with fellow prosthetists at a meeting of the International Society of Prosthetists and Orthotists. Meanwhile, I am holding out in a motel here in Blaine, which is a small town on the coast just a few miles from the Canadian border. The scenery on the drive up here was fantastic - forests of Douglas fir (planted for commercial use, this is logging country) and oyster farms all along the coast. We stayed the first night at a small camp site in the Olympia National Park - forested and right on the shore line, complete with private seating area, private parking space and your own fire pit. Camp fires are big here (as are forest fires…)
