So Its Been a while since are last blog we spent a few days in a hostel in Vancouver right on the beach just chilling , Then we decided to head down to Seattle It's about a 3 hour coach trip across the boarder, as the coach headed towards the boarder the driver informed us that we could not bring any food across the boarder which resulted in us trying to down some bananas and packets of crisps as quickly as we could. Once we got to the boarder we had to get off the bus and go through passport control, as we where watching a guy from our coach infront of us when up to the desk and handed over his passport with that alarms went off and police came from every direction, he was hand cuffed and lead out the room , all a bit scary, but Its turned out he was from england and his name must have been the same as someone else haha not to dramatic. Anyway we arrived in Seattle and our hostel was in the getto, like the roughest place i've ever seen in my life, everyone looked like they where on crack with
no teeth just hanging around on street corners drinking booze. we got to the hostel quite late , and ended up meeting two Canadian guys who invited us out for the night in the end there was about 15 of us and we went on a bit of a pub crawl, We called ourselfs the UN as their was pretty much every country repersented, it was a really good night we ended up putting the Canadians in a cab at around 12 as they where so wasted and we found beer for $2 so a good night had by all.
Our first day in Seattle we where feeling the effects of the night before, so went for a walk down the pike place market , its a really famous fish market where the fishmen throw the fish around the market when someone buys some, I saw a girl get hit in the face by one , its a really cool place with a good vibe theres also other stalls selling flowers, food, t-shirts ect. Just across the road from the market is the first ever Starbucks so we had to get one. In the afternoon we did a duck
tour , its one of them boat/car things that take you on a tour of the city wasd a bit naff really but we did get to see a bit more of Seattle. On our second day we went to the space needle It's an iconic image of Seattle so had to go up there and have a look the views where pretty impressive, after the Needle we went to the EMA , It's a music experience Museum, It was so much fun there was a fantasy area with the Iron throne from game of thrones and some costumes from the wizard of Oz, their was loads about music and bands from Seattle but the best part was the Music room where you could learn to play the drums, keyboard ect and Sing in a booth to record your own music, I've never seen grant laugh so much, dont think I'm going to make it on Xfactor. Since being here we have always wanted to try some really good sea food as we are so close to the coast, so we went to a place called the crab pot and the food was amazing we had a sea feast, I
cant quite believe we ate it all , we tried the Dungeness crab which what this region is know for it was amazing !!
The hostel turned out not to be that bad I had two really nice girls in my room and their where some nice people in the hostel , and since we have been in Canada and America everyone has been really friendly and nice even the hobos and their are a lot of them , So all in all we have had a really good time in Seattle.
