Fall is so beautiful Day 2 was awesome. We started at the Brouwers. An apparently world renound brew pup featuring 60 different beers on tap, 3 nitro, and 3 cask conditioned beer. I started with a black cherry stout that was excellent, but blew the tap so no mor fo u pretty lady. Pete had the Boundary Bay Oak Aged Cabin fever. My next was the Elysian Haleakala Sour. I love sour beer. This was ok. Not really all that sour for my liking but good all the same. Pete finished up with the Red Hook Tripel. It just so happened last weekend was the Washington Beer Fest, so they were featuring Washing state brewers. Fun place and the people were nice. I loved the bar. Sort of medieval cave like. Appropriate for Halloween.
Our next stop was the best adventure yet. We are in search of the troll who lives under the bridge, who ate the volkswagen. After a bit of a walk we stumble on to troll lane. We must be getting close. It is the coolest thing ever! Check out the photos. It's this gigantic, ugly, one-eyed beast. (The other is a hubcap), scrunched up under the bridge with a 1/2

More leaves eaten volkswagen in his left hand. Pete of course could not resist the urge to annoy the beast. (He does this to me too!!). He started poking things in between is toes and if you notice in the last picture we took of the troll, a red aura is present. Time to go......I think he's getting mad.
Our next stop is Hales Ales. Cute place with lots of different types of beers. I started with the Hales Cream Stout. It was a nitrogen beer so not a lot of fizz and very, very filling. But was it tasty! Nice strong coffee flavor. Pete had the Harvest Ale, a cask conditioned beer. It was good. Pete's second beer was the troll porter. That seems fitting. I had to buy him a troll t-shirt. I did a schooner of the el Jefe Weizen, which I liked a great deal. I wasn't necessarily impressed with the freindliness of the staff at Hales. They seemed a little snooty.
Next stop was the Elysian brewery. This is very near Safeco park. I started with the Mr. Yuck Sour Pumpkin Ale. It was good but I'm overall disappointed at all of the sours I've

Brouwer's - not flashy tasted so far. Just not sour enough for me. Pete had the immortal India pale ale and really liked it. He also had one of their specialty brews, Oak Frost. It was an excellent beer aged with Oak staves. We also enjoyed a bowl of steamed clams that was great.
Time for seafood!!! And lots of it. Our next stop is the Crab Pot on pier 57. Wow.....all I can say is wow. They just throw a big ole pot of food onto your table and you can grab and growl. Now the only problem I had was that the shrimp still had their faces on. I'm not big on knowing my food has a face. That part got a little tough for me towards the end. I just made up for it by eating the crab till I thought I would explode. We both felt like a couple a walrus when we were done. The rest of the night is just blurr. I vaguely remember saying good night.....going to have some wild dreams with all that seafood and butter on board!
