Later in the day after leaving the Grand Canyon, we followed the advice of a couple of cheerful ladies in an electronics store and camped at The Coral Pink dunes which were a set of huge (and pink) dunes. We have been meaning to go on a decent trip for ages now. Last year some very cheap prices came up on bestflights, so we decided to take the plunge. After this it became all about saving as much money as possible. Working a lot, and spending stuff all (apart from the occasional necessary bike part or gadget). We are looking forwards to five months away, spending two weeks in Thailand, and the rest of the time split between Europe and North America. We haven't planned much - just hoping to see lots of great sites, and eat a pile of tasty food. Oh, there'll probably be a lot of food photos... full info

Scrambling

This was a bit intimidating. Falling backwards meant landing in a big pool of stagnant water (and possibly onto a spikey log). Good fun though.

Our end point

We couldn't get past here. Slippery moss up on the right, and the alternative was wading through the pool and trying to climb up the rock at the end.

On the edge of the world. Just some random viewpoint stop along the way from Zion to Moab. Amazing geography.

Pedal Damn It!

Niner duallie. For those that don't know, all Niner bikes have "Pedal Damn It!" written on the top tube so you see it when riding.

Fun

Start at the top, ride zig zag down with your bum hanging over the backwheel. Don't hit the brakes - the grip will throw you. Riding back up was fun too!

Weird shadow

ok, we had to take a photo of this. A fairly normal shape somehow produced the shadow of a horses head. Sorry - we promise a return to standard travel photos shortly.
