1. read 2. read some more 3. laugh 4. laugh really hard 5. gasp 6. read 7. thank you for sharing. it's priceless. ps so when a girlfriend and I went to Mesa Verde, we got all prepared for a long hike. donned our hiking shoes, water bottles, small bag o snacks. and then laughed our asses off when we went around the corner and waa laa, there it all was, and even handicap accessible...

It's been great delight to read your entries and see photos! I remember from our family's trip summer of 1964, Bryce Canyon seemed to me to be the most spectacular. Of course we didn't go to the Grand Canyon, but anyway, what a great choice for a little horse trek. I couldn't believe the story about the river rafting. Gosh, so glad you all survived! I keep thinking about Bo and Kate, and how this will mark their (your) growing up years with a clear division of before and after in a priceless way. Sending love from Chengdu, diane
