Fulfilling a long-time dream to be at this site

Utah:
Canyonlands National Park and Dead Horse State Park

Utah, the state of red rock canyons, deep gorges, mesas, breathtaking views. Also a huge recreation area for the young - or the “young at heart” - or maybe the “young and fit”!! Here you can hike into deep canyons; bike or ride horses along the cliffs and down into the gorges; raft on the rivers; 4-wheel on the roads made specifically for that purpose etc. etc. We have spent the last two days exploring some of the magnificent National Parks and State Parks around Moab, Utah. Places Dwain never dreamed he would ever visit, so he has fulfilled a lifetime dream - sort of checking off items on his “bucket list.”
Everywhere you look there is a picture to be taken!! We have taken our fair share, but it is difficult to get the true perspective of these huge canyons in a photo - nothing like experiencing it by being right here. We have stood on what seemed the very edge of eternity - such vast canyons and deep gorges. We have defied the elements - seeming to cling on the very edge of oblivion. Well, the

Great Trip
Hi Lorraine and Dwain Cliff and I are really enjoying following your trip on your blog. What a lot of wonderful scenery! It makes us want to copycat your trip. Lorraine your photos are amazing. You could get a job as a travel journalist for the National Park Service. You two seemed to have travelled so far and seen so much in only a week. I guess we are used to a "sailboat pace" in our travels. Take Care! Judy and Cliff

Glad you are enjoying our travels with us. We are acting like a couple of kids!! Picked up a young man from Quebec who is hiking his way around Canada and the US. He spent the afternoon with us in Mesa Verde NP where we were climbing down into caverns to the early native dwellings on ancient stone steps and pole ladders. He called me the "{extreme grandma"!!
