Bryce Canyon
Our Truck was getting hit right now! We arrive at Kodachrome State park and find a wonderful place in the world. Our campsite is awesome and our ride here was beautiful. We again set up camp and plan a day at Bryce Canyon for the next day. We took off and spent a wonderful day at Bryce Canyon taking in the sights and enjoying the day. One little mishap was a person from Michigan backed into the truck and put a small dent in the right rear quarter panel but it is not going to stop us at all. The second day we took the Razor on a dirt road 40 miles and enjoyed the Grand Staircase from a point of view most don't get too see. It was a great day and the weather is awesome 85 degrees and sunny all day long. It was on this day I realized that Kathy was collecting rocks from everywhere we had been which was fine until now. The rocks were getting bigger, it now takes both of us to get into the razor, LOL... The third day we took a great Harley ride up Highway12 Byway and up to Capitol Reef National Park. We then circled back around and
Bryce Canyon
I like it here! enjoyed a long but wonderful ride back home. The first day we were at Bryce Canyon we made reservations to take a Horse/Mule ride down into Bryce Canyon. It will be 3.5 hour ride total so today we leave camp at 11 AM to do the ride and what an awesome ride it was. Kathy's Mule wanted to take a short cut off the mountain and my Mule wanted to take the asphalt walking path that everyone else was walking on. Once we got past the first 15 minutes the rest of the ride was great and the views were breath taking. We had a great time and enjoyed the afternoon. After the long day on the horse and us walking a little funny we got our laundry done in town and took in a nice dinner out before returning to camp. The last thing we really wanted to do was to get to Zion National Park and Kathy decided it would be good fun to load up the Razor and take it to the Pink Coral Sand Dune State Park and go for a ride in the sand dunes. So off we went and Zion as crowded as it
The Arches
There were many in Bryce canyon was, was an awesome trip and visit to the park. We had to wait twice to go through tunnels as the dually here is an oversize vehicle and the truck had to ride down the middle of the tunnels to get through. We then headed to The sand dunes which was only a 1/2 hour drive away. The sand dunes were exactly that, pink as far as you could see. We unloaded the Razor and took off. The sand dunes were a bit challenging as high as they were but it was good fun. We had a good time there and enjoyed the visit. I do warn some of the sand dunes are very large and a bit scary. The last day it was either hiking or Harley riding. It was very hot so we decide on the Harley. We took off not really knowing were we were going. We ended up heading up Hwy 14 Byway to Cedar Crest National Monument. It was a great ride up to the crest at 10,780 feet. We then head down the north side of the crest on HWY 143 Byway and back towards town. Hungry again we decide on a steak dinner
in town before heading back to camp. In Utah Kodachrome State park Campground is 45 minutes from town so you really need to plan ahead. Our time here is now expired and we start planning ahead for the journey to Yellowstone National Park area. We will be stopping near Salt Lake City as it is a 8-10 hour drive to Yellowstone. We like to drive no more than 6 hours. A 6 hour drive is really 8 hours with stops along the way.
