Preparations for a new beginning AGAIN!

Thought I would take a moment and catch up with travel blog. We've started this adventure over so many times, I prefer to think of the short departures from the road as way stations for either the pocket book or the body. The soul gets fed on the open road and each and every campground a hundred fold over four walls but you sometimes you can't feed the soul 24/7.

Had a wonderful time visiting family and making new friends and finding new bars (ABSOLUTELY LOVE THE HANGING TREE, Bracken, Texas)! Got all the medical taken care and ready to go again!

Making plans for our departure on February 13th to start once again to feed the soul. Our first stop will be a familiar one but a much beloved one....Humble Texas and our dear friend, Kingslea! The next month will go slow as molasses in January but I keep the faith we will have air in our hair and stars above our heads before long! I look forward to start writing about a life of minimalism and what being a rubber tramp is all about again! It changes and downsizes each time we go and it seems with the less we carry, we more we enjoy!

Lots of pumpkins but as Jonathan so eloquently put it "That's it?" I think we both expected more from the biggest pumpkin patch in the area....lol

Family fun day!
Not sure if Erricka farted or Dave just had to sneeze but something was going on! A fun time was had by all until I roasted the seeds and they sucked!

Nothing like family from 10 to 68...A good visit and fun was had by all!

Who doesn't like Halloween!
They went and got the candy and Dave and I put on ten pounds eating it....shhhh don't tell them that's where it all went!

I love this bar! Even bought them new music for their jukebox. They fed us the most delicious southern down home Thanksgiving?Daves Birthday dinner I've ever had...... Will never forget their hospitality and friendship!

Another decent bar with pretty good hamburgers and to die for fries!!!

Dinner in the fresh air of Gills! Wish we had gone there more but always leave yourself wanting to go back!
