Well it's Thursday the 4th of June and we have a visitor coming from Wisconsin, Kathy's daughter Tanya. We are enjoying a relaxing day at the campgrounds getting a few things done while enjoying the day. The weather forecast for the weekend is hot and sunny so it should be a great visit. Tanya arrives at 5PM and we start the visit with one of our favorite dinner's Kathy's homemade chicken salad, a fire and a few laughs. Friday we decided to go up the mountain VIA horseback near Pigeon Forge, TN and enjoy some sights from a different perspective. It was a wonderful unguided ride and so peaceful it was incredible. We then ventured back to Gattlinburg, TN so she could take in the sights along the way and see the commercialized little town. One of the first stops there was to do a little moonshine tasting and visit some of the many shops and have lunch at Dicks. We then ventured back to Townsend and made many stops along the way to enjoy the incredible mountain views and enjoy some of the streams coming down the mountain. Tanya surprised Kathy with a little birthday celebration as we will not

be in town for her Birthday. On Saturday we decided to head over to Cherokee about 50 miles from camp. Don't seem like far but that 50 miles takes about 1 hour 45 minutes through the mountain roads. Again we made many stops along the way taking in some wonderful sights, like the Chimney Tops, Clingmans Dome and other stops along the way. We then stopped 5 miles from Cherokee, NC where we unloaded our bicycles and peddled the rest of the way down to Cherokee. We looked around a little bit rested with Ice Cream cone in hand and headed back down the trail which wound around the river and through the woods. We then headed to Pigeon Forge where we enjoyed some southern fried chicken, yes more moonshine tasting and a relaxing stroll around town. On the way back to camp we stopped for a little fun by going down the roller coaster that was embedded into the mountain side and proved to be a very exciting ride down the hillside. Sadly on Sunday morning Tanya had to leave to start heading back to Milwaukee, it was a wonderful visit, it was awesome to enjoy some quite time with her.
