The trip from Little Rock to Graceland took about 2 hours. A few days ago on one of the windy days we were hit on the freeway by a complete branch. Today a tire blew on the trailer of a vehicle in front of us and the rubber was flying. Memphis is a very pretty town on the Mississippi. We walked around the main part of town including Beale Street which is considered the home of Rock & Blues. They still have a trolley downtown and there are also riverboats which didn't seem to be in operation at the moment. Fortunately it is Sunday so we were able to park downtown. We then headed out to Graceland. The mansion was modest by today's standards but apparently it has been preserved in its original state including all of the furnishings. Quite a collection of memorabilia including cars and planes. Worth seeing although it is very touristy. Tomorrow we head for Tupelo the birthplace of Elvis Presley and then we will go down the lower potion of the Natchez Trailway towwards Natchez.
