We never think about the clock but where would we be in this world with out it. In todays society we take advantage of the clock but with out it we would not be able to have a set schedule. You would not be able to say "Meet me here at 3 O' Clock". Buisnesses rely on the clock and calenders so much that with out them we not not know the date and are since of time would be useless. In order to tell time we would have to look up at the sun, like they did in the ancient times. But the most imprtant reasons why we need the clock is for watches, they are such a fashion statement. If you see somebody walking down the street wearing a rolex you automaticaly think that they must be rich. Therefore to me America and the rest of society would be in shambles without the clock and the calender.
