in a complete different way? May we suggest you the Roosevelt Island Tramway, a one of a kind transportation! It’s located about 76 meters away from the East River and has an amazing view of/ on Manhattan. It’s actually cheaper than the helicopter tour and an even better way to visit the Big Apple, rather than taking the Touristic bus. Created in 1976, it does approximately 115 trips a day, and had more than 26 million of travelers ever since it was open. How to get there?
Its departure is at Tramplaza, right by the corner of 59th street and 2nd
avenue. The Roosevelt Island Tramway passes by the East River, the Queensboro Bridge – Once on the island; you will find buses for 25 cents the ride for you to visit the island.
