Hiya all,

how ya doin?

first day out and Thel had booked a food tour in Soho!! Dropped laundry off before it walked there on its own - need some clean clothes beofre the predicted 90 degrees tomorrow - we will be in our undies.... and believe us - not a soul would notice us - not here !! Anything goes and some are just so crazy - ugly crazy and all are fantastic entertainment.... have met quiet a few aussies which is always good value and grounds us again..

before we talk about today we need to tell you that it stormed here last night so the night was cut short because of rain - but we took the opportunity to go inside toys r us - what a shop - there is a ferris wheel inside the shop - it was funny - jimmy jimmy jimmy if only he was here to go on ferris wheel with Lou... also whilst out ran into spiderman, michael jackson, grover, minnie mouse, sponge bob just to name a few - heaps of fun until it rained - thai was on the menu last night - yummy

Today we started off on the metro and ended up not at the right spot - which was a stroke of luck because where we got out - they happened to be filming CSI NEW YORK - fair dinkum - right in front of us it was fascinating to watch - we had rubber necks and watched them lie the dead guy down ready for the shoot - the star is a bit cute - we have a million photos - Lou thought Thel would be employed as there official photographer she took so many shots....
anyway, after that little bit of excitement we went on a walk through parts of soho - where the beautiful people shop (and crazy peoople too) - and guess what - dogs are back - so good to see the little fellas again - they are everywhere in soho.... off to the food tour which was 3 hours of information, fantastic tastings of different cultures - all yummy food and the group was fun - 5 aussies from Adelaide and other people from over the states - it was really good..
when it finished at 3pm we explored some more of soho and Deb and Sally - Purl Soho a fabric and yarn shop - WOWWWWW I can see Deb why you have bought stock on line - it was fab and really reasonably priced - lou left with a bag then onto the subway again

one really scarey guy on the subway - everyone is just so cool when its happening - no-one looked at him as he ranted and raved but we got off and all was okay...

other stuff for today - yellow cabs, red buses, police, fire dept, police on horseback, seriously sexy men - seriously, unbelievable fashion , yellow cabs, yellow cabs, restaurants on every street, yellow cabs, seriously sexy men to look at - and just so you all know - wear whatever you want - whether it matches or not - whether its your PJ's, whorts and boots, tutus - don't be frightened just do it -
love you all more tomorrow - Lou and Thel xxxx Please write to us we need to hear from you all, xxxx

hello from the G
good morning girls .... your stories have been fabulous ... loving every moment of them, such a shame you can't send back the noises and smells to go with your words, then it would be complete .... Friday morning here ... the G is same same, and no different. Ghosties won last week the grand final, no idea of the score, just saw the news in the paper. Titans play the Roosters tonight in the final for the footy and collingwood play ummm someone else in the GF of aussie rules. That's the update on sport, for what it's worth. Spring is coming getting some nice days again now. Think I'll be off me trustie walking stick by the end of next week, and can nearly walk straight again, and for me, I have not felt sooooo good mentally or physically for about 3 years, so I'm really enjoying this new found well being. Sally is good too, absolutely loves the shop and the classes, getting more classes and more plans towards Christmas. She is learning to wear sensible and comfortable shoes to work, to help the hours spent on her feet. We heading to Yamba the week after next (school holidays start after today) for three days ...... looking forward to that too. We've got our visas back in our passports now too ... and only about 8 weeks before we head off-shore again. Yippee can't wait .... bit sad though, cause YOUR time has absolutely flown, so our time will go in a blink. Princess Sandra and I went to Coffs Harbour the other day. She is soo clever in trying to get you to spend YOUR money, but I've wized up now, and spend 1/2 my time saying "Sandra ... you don't NEED or WANT that!!!!!" ... but good day out, and bloody well slept like a log that night. So that's about it for now ..... take care ... take yellow cabs .... and enjoy every moment over there in NYC .... much love .. (and envy .. hehehe) ...... BM

I want to travel with you two!!!
Well, I'm seriously considering leaving my family at home at Christmas and taking you two with me instead. I'm serious. We haven't stopped laughing while eating breakkie this morning. Ottawa sounds stunning and I think we may need to put that on our itinerary. See Mandy, it's not always a good thing to book your flights too early as there are advantages in being slack! We will see it in winter which will be spectacular. Zoe can't wait to see the episode of 'CSI New York' with the two mad extras. We have been busy planting, pruning, painting etc in anticipation of The Jacksons visit next week. Needless to say there have been several marital disputes with Bruce in the dog house for 3 days. He had to do his own ironing and cook his own meals for those days. I was cranky! And justifiably so I might add! There is some very exciting news in Grafton...Celeste and Brea are opening their own shop, next to the Saraton, called 'French Jellies'. It will be a florist and homewares shop opening in November. Celeste told me yesterday and said it was okay to let you know via the blog as most of Grafton got wind of "something" happening there! Good on them! Sewing has been busy, Sal doesn't mess around in her classes and I'm enjoying her company as much as the sewing. I'm her official 'Consumer Research and Development Officer' and she even made me my own business card! She's so funny. Well, I'm ready for you to come home now. Walking in the mornings is such a drag. I've been keeping Mr. Dewberry up to date with your news, which he appreciates. Did you buy anything in Purl SoHo? look forward to your next blog. Love to you both, Deb xx
