The Big Apple & Toronto

Leg 1 of our six month odyssey involved a trip over to New York and Toronto for 10 days

We found the first few days in New York quite tough to adjust to, both for the crowds and the heat, after not having much that resembled a summer for the last two years

We spent our time in New York viewing the sights, a Yankees baseball game, the top of the Empire State Building, catching the ferry out to Staten Island and seeing Chicago on Broadway were the main highlights

We headed up to Toronto for 3 days and caught our second baseball match, this time a home game for the Blue Jays which ended with a dramatic victory in the bottom of the ninth. We also did a day trip out to the Niagara Falls where the heat was almost unbearable, and went to the top of the CN Tower for a view over Toronto
