Hello faithful blog readers!

I have a hard time believing it's been over 5 years since we embarked on our Semester at Sea journey together. At times it feels like it was just yesterday and other times it can't believe it was this same life. The truth is, Semester at Sea was in many regards the beginning of a crazy life journey God is taking me on.

I realize that over the last few years I haven't been a very faithful blogger... BUT I am pleased to tell you that I will be starting again as I embark on my newest journey. Some of you have already heard, and others are hearing it for the first time right now, I have been appointed as a missionary to Albania. I will be serving overseas for two years with Global Partners. My departure date is not definite yet, but my goal is to leave by June 2011.

I would like to invite all of you to join me on this new journey. After much consideration I've decided to switch to a "non-travel" blog as my primary blog to chronicle the adventures in Albania. http://nicoleschara.blogspot.com The layout is a little different than this blog, but I don't think you will have a problem following it. On the bottom, left side bar, there is a box where you can subscribe to the blog to be alerted by email when I post a new entry. Or, if you prefer you can bookmark the blog and check-in periodically for new updates. I have posted a few entries already mainly the: who, what, where, when, why's, of Albania and would encourage you to read to find out more about this calling in my life.

I look forward to spending the next few years together again!

Much love,
Nicki
