Well, after the mess with the hotel yesterday things started looking up.
We decided we would venture out for the afternoon. I emailed my boss I was taking 1/2 day and he wrote back that I'd worked enough hours and not to take vacation and enjoy the afternoon. Thank you Ken.
Shelly really wanted to see the movie Chasing Mavericks. So we looked online and found a theater that looked like it might be opening up near Times Square. Got up there and signs said it would open at 2:00. We waited and got tickets on their big giant screen. $17 a pop for a matinee. wow. Lunch was pop-corn. Movie was good. The main character reminds me of my soon to be son-in-law, Matt.
After the movie we found the discount ticket location and picked up 1/2 price tickets to Evita. We then went to the Marriott and went to the View - a rotating restaurant/bar over the city. We enjoyed a nice expensive glass of wine.
After the wine, we went down and walked down 46th street and found a great Spanish restaurant and had tappas and sangria. The food was great and we felt like we were back in Spain.
Then off to Evita. Oh yea, Ricky Martin is in the show. While we were waiting for the show to start we got the msg from Princess cruises – it looks like the cruise if probably going to go on Friday out of Manhattan. J They are changing the itinerary though. We now have 5 days at sea and only 2 ports, Turks and Caicos(new) and Aruba. Oh well, I’ve not been to either so it’s fine with me.
Evita was good but I think I liked the show we saw the other day better. We took a taxi back to the hotel and crashed. Hopefully we will get full confirmation of the cruise today.
