We awake early, excited to travel on the subways and enjoy the sights & sounds of NYC! We buy a ticket to travel on the subway & buses a weekly ticket around $30.00 each, excellent value. We grab a subway map and off we go, 1st stop Central Park, it is huge, as soon as we enter the park we see an eagle sitting on a tree, and little squirrels are everywhere, we grab a Map and start our Central Park adventure, there are skate parks, playgrounds, musicians playing, people running, riding bikes, children squealing, families picnicking, what an amazing place for people from all walks of life to enjoy this beautiful relaxing park. Its getting quite warm we buy an ice cream from one of the little food carts, sit and people watch for a while. This park is huge, we walk around for another hour or so and stop at the lake where the kids are playing with remote control boats, Steve loves it! We have some lunch. We decide to take advantage of our NYC Card, costs around $130 dollars for 3 days giving you free & discounted tickets to major attractions and head down to the pier

These guys turn up every morning and wheel there carts to Central Park.
for a boat trip around the bay, we hire someone to take us to the pier on a three wheeler bike, you know the ones, kinda like a rickshaw, it was fun & scary at the same time, he cant take us directly to the pier, so we walk about 2 blocks, the bay looks glorious & calm as we head off to view some of the sights & learn some of the history of Manhattan, long Island & Ellis Island, the tour guide was fantastic, as we head towards The Statue of Liberty, he points out to us where the Twin Towers once stood and tells us how the boat we are on helped transport people over to Long Island on September 11. After our cruise we take the bus to Times Square, we get there just on Dusk, there are people everywhere, the city lights look amazing, there are buskers everywhere, the atmosphere is fun. We head back to our motel & get some Chinese food for dinner. Weather.......Glorious
