New York is pretty great. We've been doing heaps of stuff.......i think there is sooo much stuff to do that i might not be enjoying it as much because its just so much. Either that or I have been travelling for too long and have already seen so much other stuff.

We got these passes to do pretty much every touristy thing in New York so we have been maxing it out and doing a lot.

Went to the MET art museum. There was so many famous paintings and ancient arts and crafts, it was like an art textbook but in real life. But went through it pretty quick, although even if I had the whole day there, i still think i couldn't appreciate it all.

Saw Beauty and the Beast on broadway. Was pretty good, but too many new songs been put in. I think Lion King is better.

Had fun at Madame Tussaud Wax museum. Some looked quite real, but some not quite right.

Went to Liberty Island (where statue of Liberty is) and Ellis island (where all the immigration procedures was done in the 20s). Was actually really interesting.

Central Park is pretty dead (I mean dead trees, not empty) during winter. No wonder they don't show you Central Park in winter in all those movies. Also - some parts smell like horse shit from the horse and carriage rides - not as romantic as it may look.

Also did Empire State Building - Great view. However......Meg Ryan in Sleepless in Seatlle didn't have to go through security scans, queue to get into the elevator, and didn't go through 2 separate elevators, and go through the gift shop before getting to the top.

It actually hasn't been that cold here. In Orlando the last few days were the coldest days in three years, which is colder than here at the moment. Amsterdam may be another story though.

New York is like Hong Kong, everywhere you go people take mandatory pictures of you, but at least here they are not so hard on you to buy it.

Haven't actually bought anything except souvenier pennies here and in Orlando. I think my bag has too much stuff from shopping in Denver. My bag needs to go on a diet.
