The drive from Gallup to Albuqurque was another windy trip. Visited the Old City which dates back about 300 years. Lots of natives selling silver pieces, beadwork, etc. Most of thse items are genuine but much of the stuff in the tourist shops is imported. Some of the silverwork is very nice but apparently the silver is not local and comes according to one of the local natives from Virginia. It is also interesting to note that when the "white man" came to America he traded beads, blankets and trinkets with the natives. Now the situation is reversed. Off to Santa Fe tomorrow.
