On the boardwalk
We got up early again and drove to Jersey Shore for a day at the beach. It was about an hour and a half from Susan's house, and when we got there we found out that in New Jersey you have to pay to get onto the beach! We found this bizarre because we had never come across it, so we handed over our $7 and got given a wristband, which people come around and check that you have while you are on the sand. We were at Point Pleasant Beach, which was different to the Californian beaches because the sand wasn't as fine and it had alot more shells, but the waves seemed bigger.
We walked along the boardwalk and had a cocktail at the beachfront bar. It was a hot day again, but not as humid as the days in New York because there was some breeze by the ocean. After a few hours we headed back to the car and drove back to Susan's house. For dinner we had scallops, which neither of us had tried, and both really liked. We played some cards after dinner and had some great Strawberry Daquiris. We were both really looking forward
