Awake by 5am - well that was 1pm to us. Went in search of breakfast. Had read that Mandalay Bay hotel next door had a good buffet so went there through connecting walkway. It was a really good selection and we enjoyed it especially the waffles and pancakes!! Had a good walk around the Luxor, amazing gambling tables and machines although not many takers that early in the day. Then decided to walk up the strip. Luxor hotel is at the very bottom(south) of the strip so we headed north passing through hotels as we came to them. Paris ( Eiffel tower and scantily dressed waitresses) Flamingo ( amazing gardens with pelicans and flamingos and our first bride) Venetian ( amazing canal with gondolas and singing gondoliers and beautiful shops) then across road to Caesars Palace (roman theme with amazing shops in forum and an Atlantis show on the hour which we unknowingly just caught) . We tried to see the fountain show at the Bellagio but it was a no show although loads of people waiting so will have to revisit on Thursday. Had a pizza - not sure about our healthy diet - then back to the Luxor. Gambling tables much busier at night, no surprise there, but as we had an early start tomorrow we called a day and went to bed. Verdict on Las Vegas so far - definitely has to be seen. We were talking to a couple who have been here quite a few times and she had won £1000 dollars on one of their visits!! Can't believe the number of gambling machines/ tables!!
