It’s Vegas Baby!
The time difference between Manchester and Las Vegas is eight hours i.e. Las Vegas is eight hours behind Manchester.
We had a proper disruption of our 'body clock', an unavoidable jet lag that shorten our time in LV.
Our trip was in September

Honest form of hell… called by others. A place has never been more worthy of its name. Known as ‘Disneyland for adults’ this money pit is ready to swallow you whole. Some of the Nicknames: "Lost Wages" "The Marriage Capital of the World" "The Entertainment Capital of the World" "Sin City" "Capital of Second Chances".
Once the sun comes out Vegas is transformed into a very different place, giving its visitors a whole new perspective. You can spend a full day walking all the way along the strip marvelling at the architectural delights of each hotel. You cannot help but let your jaw drop as you see some of the lengths the hotels have gone to in order to retain some individuality. The money spent on these hotels is just phenomenal.
Having never been to a casino in your life Las Vegas is one hell of an introduction. You can’t help but be filled with eager anticipation of what the night will bring as the lights hypnotise and entice anyone and everyone walking the Strip, each place fighting for your attention, determined to take you in. The extravagant buildings seem to get more and more ridiculously out-of-this-world as you walk further along.
“The point about this place, which both its critics and its admirers overlook, is that it's wonderful and awful simultaneously. So one loves it and detests it at the same time.”
Walk along the STRIP 3.8 mi (6.1 km) The Las Vegas Strip, stretch of Las Vegas Boulevard, is home to some of the world’s largest hotels. The Strip is very pedestrian friendly with numerous connector footbridges between hotels. In some locations, there were mist showers.
During the day the strip is congested with tourists wearing their loud tourist shirts, sporting the ‘Grand Canyon’ and various ‘Sin City’ slogans. At night time these tourists are outnumbered by the younger clubbers, all of whom were dressed to impress, negotiating the strip from one club to the next. Out
in force at night are the ‘card slappers’ (the name coming from their nature - slapping cards into their palms trying to get your attention), standing within feet of each other, spanning about 10 meters in some cases are guys and some girls wearing shirts saying "girls to your room in 20 minutes" handing out playing-card sized advertisements of next to naked women with a list of the services they provide and cost.
Playing Penny Slots: Even the most budget-conscious traveller can gamble for hours. Penny slots used to be as rare as a non-silicone-enhanced showgirl, but now they're in all the major casinos.
Most casinos have no clocks in Las Vegas! They do not want you to interrupt your losing streak by realizing how much time has passed. Of course, we've all heard the legend that Las Vegas casinos pump in fresh oxygen to keep the players from getting tired.
There is one slot machine in Las Vegas for every eight inhabitants!
Buffet Wynn Buffet our first evening meal on arrival 15th Sept.
The line wasn't too bad, it took maybe 15 minutes to get seated. We tried crab legs and it actually looked more impressive than
Lake Mead
Water from Lake Mead serves 8 million people in Arizona, Nevada and California, and irrigates more than one million acres of farmland. Twelve years of persistent drought and increasing human demand for water in the American southwest have reduced Lake Mead to its lowest level in more than 50 years. it tasted. Overall, an OK experience but no 'wow' factor involved.
Bellagio Buffet our lunch on 16th Sept.
Bellagio hotel was truly impressive place and of course how could we avoid a long lane to get a table, about 1h wait. The selection was quite large and varied and most offerings were fresh as they seemed to prepare everything right there and were continuously replenishing the stations.
Grand Canyon Overall the experience was really amazing to admire all the stunning views from the air. It was a 1.5h flight via the Grand Canyon and Hoover Dam, Lake Lead. Grand Canyon as one of the Seven Natural Wonders Of The World proved its beauty entirely.
