Mounted Police patrol the Las Vegas Strip during the celebrations... horse patrols have become a large part of crowd control in Las Vegas. The "Metro" Police deptartment does a good job during the festivites not to interfere with revelers.

Lots or the religious zealots out there with their signs, telling how the world was coming to an end, and how we were all sinners, etc etc etc The drunks on the strip gave these guys a real hard time.
