We traveled from The Grand Canyon to Henderson, NV, crossing the dessert and stopping along the way to see th magnificent Hoover Dam. It was 104 degrees near the dam, but we got out of the car and hiked up the stairs to the bridge which provides an overlook. It is hard to imagine the labor it took to construct the dam in such a rugged landscape and punishing climate.
