Day 10 - July 6, 2013

Not much to write about today, we drove. Our longest driving day this trip! Over 830 miles! We sadly said goodbye to mom in St. Louis at about 5:15 am. We headed north. We drove, and drove, and drove some more. We made a few Geocaching stops, but other than that we just drove.

We made it to the Mall of America in Bloomington, just outside Minneapolis, in time for a late lunch. We had no idea what we were in for. They have a huge amusement park in the center court of the mall. There is a roller coaster and about 20 other rides. They have an aquarium, a LEGOLAND area, and several movie theaters. We ate in the food court so that we could take it all in. We could only take it for about 45 minutes; then it was back to the road!

The traffic in and out of the mall was the worst that we had seen all day. We sailed into Enderlin, ND about 7:00 p.m. and into the welcoming arms of Uncle Palmer and Aunt Gladys. My Uncle Palmer is one of my mom’s

brothers. He welcomed us in, made us a couple of drinks, and threw burgers on the grill. Aunt Gladys, one of my mom’s sisters, sat and visited with us. Before we knew it, it was 10:00 and the sky was still light. We walked Gladys home and quickly got ready for bed.
