It only gets better......our travels took us to the Mississippi River at Memphis. We took a paddle boat ride on the Island Queen which was very nice. It even went into Arkansas. It was a horrible place to get to, though. Cory had to drive our car onto a very steep slope of cobblestones to park. I almost fell down into the river going down the embankment. From there, we hopped a trolly to Beale St. in Memphis. It was just like the festive street in Nashville we visited coming down. We stopped at a couple bars and a park to listen to the Blue's singers & bands...excellent! Next stop: Tunica, Mississippi to hit the casinos, again. This time we stayed at the Hollywood Hotel & Casino. And again, they compt'd our room. What a way to take a vacation...free! The decor was something to see...Lulu enjoyed it. Mr. Lucky continued his winning streak on the crap table. He is going to have to teach me craps as I tend to just let the slots enjoy taking all my money. Of course, we completely enjoyed the enormous buffet for dinner & breakfast (77 cents) ....now we shall REALLY pay....no eating for

a month! As they say "Life is Easy on the Mississippi" and we have found it to be true.

Our next experience may be confronting this hurricane they are predicting might be heading our way. If it does, we are directed to take shelter in the customer lounge (which will be cozy beyond belief) .... not sure what will happen to the RV! I would really like to try out one of those in-ground storm shelters I showed you before but probably the owners don't plan for company. If it looks too bad, we'll just take the RV and drive North until it seems safe and then go back to Red Bay. This trip is really turning into quite an adventure.....instead of Pee-Wee's Big Adventure, you are witnessing "Cory's Big Adventure".

Because I have so many photos to share, I am going to send a couple blogs just for the photos. I don't know how long it takes you to load these blogs so I didn't want to overload you in one sitting.

Sure wish I was Lulu, being carried all over and enjoying everything. Looks like you two are enjoying every moment. We have heavy rain today, but no hurricane here. Take care. Enjoy your blogs.

The Storm
You better seek some shelter. We appear to have missed the brunt of it but the forcasters down here say it is heading your way. Mr. Lucky better still have some luck in reserve.
