Anchorage on our mind.

Well we made it to Detroit last night and used the park, stay, fly 14 day package at the Days Inn. Enjoyed the third glass of wine before retiring. Great deal and the hotel was good except for the thinner walls and the happening in the room next to us. I found if you turned the air conditioner really cold it would run a lot and helped drown out the sounds..lol wishing them all a big hangover today...

A bit of Isaac hanging over illinois that we passed over which looked real neat..a little turbulance but still good. Lavern has North to Alaska stuck in his mind..the girls at work will appreciate that..lol

Our dinner reservations are at 7 tonight which will be 11 pm Michigan time..hmmm or should I say sssnnnnoorrreee.

Our stop over at Seattle airport was short but long enough to grab a bite at the Alaskan brew house restaurant and to sample some local brews. Lavern ordered the pale ale and I had a lite......let me critique these beers..mine tasted like fresh Alaskan pine tree needles soaked in water but Laverns like a green grass so we switched..thank goodness.

Our flight to anchorage was smooth and checked into to Anchorage Ramada then picked up our rental car. It was drizzling and around 50 degrees but a welcomed change of weather for a bit. We're pretty tired from the 8 hours of flying and the extra travel and time change but had reservations at the Alaskan Glacier Brewhouse..a must to eat at when in Anchorage.

Lavern ordered a blond beer..crisp, refreshing with two row barley and centennial of aromas..(means it was good). I went for the house made rootbeer and added some vanilla stoli..yum dinner was amazing. I ordered Caribbean prawn and scalloped skewer with mango and Lavern ordered Cajun halibut and the seafood chowder. We moaned the whole dinne.lol

Our bodies know its like after 1am Michigan time so off to bed. Big day tomorrow with early adventures.
