What a beautiful city
Entry by Gemma.

Well, what a first week. It has been brilliant. My highlights so far have been:

* Visit to Salem Witch Museum.

* Tram tour around Boston.

* Viewing platform on the 50th floor of the prudential centre where you could see the whole of Boston.

* Chilling out in Boston Common and the Public Gardens. Such a beautiful open space in the centre of the city. (Great spot for eating ice-cream!)

*Going to stay at Sharon and Dans in New Hampshire and playing with their crazy cat Cosmo.

*Eating at the Fish Tale Diner for breakfast. The Diner was authentic American, run by five sisters.

*Going to visit Donnas mum Mary at the nursing home and her aunt Peggy (Marys sister) and meeting Bertha the oldest person in New Hampshire, aged 110! Mary and Peggy are real characters and made us laugh so much.

*Joe's driving tour of Lowell (where Donna and Joe live.)

*Eating yummy food all the time. e.g. Waffles and maple syrup, blueberry muffins, popcorn, ice-cream, popover (it is a bit like yorkshire pudding, but you have it for breakfast with

syrup), chocolate frappes, great meal at an Italian restaurant called Ricardos and Donnas cooking (especially her homemade spinach pie.)

*Being thoroughly spoilt by everone we have stayed with and met.

As you can see, there are lots of highlights. It has been a brilliant first week. On to New York next!

Whilst we were sitting by this statue a boy no older than five came up to us and said "isn't it just the most wonderful day". Put a big smile on my face.

Peggy & Mary are such characters, they made us giggle.
