The article "Bangladesh garment workers get union rights, higher pay in wake of deadly factory collapse" was about the unionization of the garment workers due to the collapse of a factory that killed 1,100 workers. After being neglected of proper rights for such a long time, these workers needed to be able to unionize themselves. Many worker injuries were due to bad working conditions and the collapse of buildings. Some of their human rights that were violated were the right to not be held as slaves and not being subjected to inhumane rights. Their working conditions infringed human rights to being inhumane conditions. By the humans being subjected to low pay, this is basically like them being slaves. My thoughts on this is this is unjust because everyone has the right to quality working conditions. Furthermore, their pay should be sufficient enough to be able to live off of.
