We made it !

It has taken us 26hrs travel time and we have arrived here at Hillside, Chicago and our white Chevolet Cobolt is parked in the carpark out front ! We checked in at midnight (3pm Monday your time). We had a delayed flight out of Auckland 2 hours late ,so we were rushed through customs and immigration at LAX to catch our Chicago flight. We just made it after running from one side of the airport through the carpark to the other side with all our 4 suitcases.... it was a good workout after sitting on our bums for so long. Hotel Hillside is very nice we are very comfortable, we went down to the bar for something to eat and the lady serving loves out accent..... she wants us to repeat everything so she can listen twice as much ! Our car journey from the airport to here (about 15 mins) was good..... no cars at nearly midnight on Sunday night...... I'm sure it won't be the same tomorrow morning when we finally venture out.
The weather is OK, much like at home at the moment, a little fresh at night but not enough to wear a jacket. We are both looking forward to sleeping lying down tonight ! All planes today were fully booked so no extra seats to spread ourselves out..... Time for sleep now Goodnight all !,
