Andy and his sister Ann take a break during our bike ride along the lake.
What a great way to conclude our train adventure, a visit with (Andy's sister) Ann and George and their family in Chicago! We took a picnic and spent the afternoon at beautiful Millennium Park and went for a bike ride along the Lake Shore Trail. We saw the stage where the Dahli Lama would speak to thousands the next day and enjoyed seeing our reflection in "The Bean."

Then came Sunday's big event, a Cubs game at Wrigley Field! It was our first visit to "The Friendly Confines" and what a treat it was! It would have been so no matter what the outcome of the game, but an extra-inning Cubs win made the day even more special.

After nearly 6 months away from home, we leave Chicago on Monday, May 7, and head toward New England. After stops in Ohio, New York and Massachusetts to visit friends and family, pick up mail in Andover, we plan to reach Southwest Harbor on May 17. We are definitely ready to empty the car, plant the garden, and be back on home turf.

A Cubs' rally tied it in the 9th, and they won it 4-3 in the 10th. We couldn't have asked for a better ending
