To all interested family and friends,
Today was a catch-up day. The view from our window is jigsaw picture perfect. The Kirks would love to do this one because it has so many colors, not like others we have tried. More smoke in the air today as the wind changed; they're letting this one go until the snow fall puts it out. We did laundry (can't get away from those chores), read, did a crossword, and walked. But, then we canoed on the river with Timmy snoozing on his life jacket; it was great fun. We thought he might tip the canoe over if he became anxious, but he proved to be a super boatswain. Today was our fly fishing debut. Well, not Dave's as he and Don Kirk are always upstream or down stream or wherever the fish aren't. True to form the fish were not in evidence today but we had FUN. The scenery is so pretty that I didn't care if my casting effort got the lovely lady fly in turquoise only 4 feet from the river bank. Needless to say we barbequed chicken for dinner. Talked to Jenn today and she updated us on the work being done on the house: asbestos is gone from the furnace ducts and we have a hole where the upstairs shower used to be. It's nice not to be included in the dust of construction. We wish #61 good luck against N.Salinas. And, good luck Jonah on your 1st volleyball game. Tomorrow we amble to northern Idaho towards McCall heading for Coeur d' Alene. We love to go awandering. Dave & Wendy
