Aloha Lani, Glad you enjoyed your stay on Molokai! My niece forwarded your blog to me, because she knows Eddie (her uncle) and I'm his girlfriend. I mentioned this blog to Eddie and he remembers the two of you very well. Just wanted to let you and others know that at the time of your visit Eddie was a Park Security officer for Wackenhut. That was his part-time job on weekends. Permits are required when camping in county parks on Molokai (info for future visitors). Security will log it down for other Park Security officers and provide a description of campers, vehicle license, etc. so your party was probably not asked for it again, especially if you were the only ones there. Eddie never issued a notebook paper ticket (haha). Park Security officers cannot issue tickets, they'll give warnings, and will call Law Enforcement officers only if needed. None of us know who Koa is, so we're curious to know if you ever got those tickets to his fights? Unfortunately, Koa was the one who was spinning tales and quite possibly Koa may not have even been his real name. So now we're asking around if anyone knows a guy named Koa who is an Ultimate Fighter. Molokai isn't so small that we wouldn't hear about someone becoming an Ultimate Fighter! Eddie isn't known as Short Eddie, but the story is funny!

Aloha again! Eddie remembers the person you described with the pitbulls and vehicles. He was a young man who was homeless and Eddie had to tell him on more than one occasion that he could not live in the parking lot. We look forward to your visit to Molokai in 2009. Take care!
