Hello Praisers, Prayers, Party Animals and Party Poopers (I am all of these simultaneously-its really complicated, so complicated in fact that i'm probably just talking rubbish). Anyway enough of that, by "that" i mean pointless sentences that just go on and on and on and on with absolutely no meaning, that take up your time and get you closer to the national average of words read in a lifetime, which i hope isn't a measure of your actual lifespan, because that would mean the more you read the closer you would be to death, which would scare the heck out of me because after the last 3 weeks i would practically be knocking at deaths door (ha you thought that was going to be another one of those sentences that had absolutely no meaning, but instead it actually went somewhere). Yup the last 3 weeks has been crazy!! And it culminated in this week which was absolute madness. Here's what this week was all about, so we had all the usual reading (so like various chapters of the five books we are currently reading, oh and a book of the Bible-1 Samuel this week). Then we have this major IBS (Inductive
Bible Study-a in depth study of a book in the Bible, i did Ephesians-RAD) project due this tuesday, but there is no time to work on it today or tomorrow(monday) so i had to have that done by Saturday(yesterday). Oh and then we had our mid-term exam on Friday, which we had to learn for, which i'm pretty sure i aced, but will let you know if i was wrong or right about and to what degree of was mistaken. So yeah pretty much head down, actually literally head down reading all week, and lets not forget lectures this week, which were amazing by the way! So just for fun lets look at my friday and saturday: friday morning quiet time and finish 1 Samuel. 9:30 mid-term(that was were the acing happened). 12:10 finish midterm, start weekly journal which gets marked. 12:30 lunch! 1pm journal. 3pm read 1st chapter of a new book. 4pm work duty-dinner prep. 5:20 dinner(20 minutes late, my bad, who knew 1 cup of rice only fed four people)! 5:40pm work duty-dinner clean up(yup that's write double work duty friday). 6:30pm church. 10pm bed time. Saturday morning 8am Quiet time. 9am start last three steps of
IBS. 2:30pm lunch. 3pm laundry and start reading the book a started the day before. 4pm finish laundry, still reading. 10pm finish reading...the book. That's right a whole book for monday and tuesday! 10:30 dinner(Jack in the box-fast food-so good and so bad) and talk to my girlfriend for almost the first time this week, well we've spoken but it's been like "Could you pass me the next book?" 2am sleep. Today(Sunday) is my sabbath so slept in and had a quiet time. If you want to email me what you did on any random two days this last week please feel free to do so.
So here is a fun story or two. Last week Friday was the 6 month mark for Natalia and my relationship, so i borrowed a friends car and we drove to the other side of the island. I had booked a dinner cruise, which turned out amazing. She really wanted to see whales but when i was looking for a cool date they said whale season was long over, by like 20 days, and no one had seen a whale in ages. Anyway we get to the harbour, she was very surprised and
excited. We get on the ship and realise its two couples to a table, which they hadn't mentioned to me. So we eagerly and anxiously wait for them to see who we are going to spend the night with, we were a little dissapointed that we wouldn't be alone but we thought said that maybe they need Jesus and we could lead them to Him. Turns out they didn't show, some one must have got to them before us, so hopefully we'll see the Jones' in heaven one day. We were pretty stoked! Then they serve dinner, whilst we are eating the captain announces that she had spotted whales, and to Nat's shrieking delight there was a mother and her calf and tons of dolphins. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect evening-thank you God! We had so much fun just laughing and finally been able to get some quality time together. That was officially the first tourist thing i have done on Maui in the 4 and a half month total i've been on the island.
Anyway, SBFM is amazing. This is probably the most important stuff I have ever learnt in my life, LITERALLY! It is
so good! I get rocked every day! This is definately a time of getting rooted in what i believe, God wasn't kidding around! I am really seeing how important it is for the world to come to know Christ and to start thinking like Him for the survival of the world as we know it, for the prevention of mass wars and death, and the prosperity of nations and human life. If God made the world, He is going to know the best way to live in order for their to be life and life to the full. "For the wages of sin are death", quite literally death. If you do not have the same view of human life as God does then things like the nazi death camps happen. If you view human life as a bunch of matter and nothing more, it is going to effect what you do with human life. Just some thoughts. Take them, leave them.
Anyway. I miss you all stacks!!!! It's halfway in the course now, so will be home in 6 weeks or so. Looking forward to what God has in store and what and look forward to seeing you all
again soon. Some prayer requets: 1. Feeling a little run down at the moment, body and mind are a little tired, and have had a sore throat and cold for the last 3 days, so if you could pray for strength. 2. God would speak to me about after SBFM, i'm thnking of a few outreach options, so just for God's guidance in that. 3. The work level for the next three weeks stays at this crazy pace so if you could pray for endurance.
Love you all. Praying for you and thinking of you often. And remember...we are the rugby world cup champions for 3 and a half more years!!!!!!!

May God bless you both
Hey thinking ans praying for you. Reminds me of when my son did YFC. Any how talk of usless workd sentences etc.
This is for real, it will cure your cold, keep you free of flu and boost your immune system. Probably keep the mossies away as well.
Mix the following together:
1. One Tablespoon turmeric powder (yellow stuff you put in curry) (SA version is borrie).
2. One Tablespoon Garlic (dried flakes or fresh chopped).
3. One Tablespoon Cinnamon powder.
4. One tablespoon Dried chillies.
5. One Tablespoon Ginger powder. (grated fresh if you can).
Mix all together in and keep in a sealed container (glass jar).
Then take a quarter of a teaspoon daily with some water or juice. or coffee or any liquid to get the stuff down your throat and out of your mouth.
Medical research has shown these herbs were used during biblical times. How about that. Chillies boost the serotonin level, ginger is a natural anti-inflammatory, tumuric boosts the immune system, and cinnamon maintains the blood gulcose level thereby prevents diabetes, garlic hey man kills all bugs. Probably the smell put the bad guys off and the good guys are too polite to say so.
Have a great day.
Hey there
All sounding good! Congrats on the 6mth thing, if she can make whales appear, then she's a keeper!
Did you know that IBS also stands for Irritable Bowel Syndrome - just thought I would chuck that one in there for good measure.
Can't wait to see you in a few weeks! Wooohoo, bring me back a tan pleeeease.
Lotsaluv and all that jazz
Catherine
