Waimea Canyon is one of the most amazing places I have ever seen. Just like a huge valley, a crack in a mountain, a fractured and scarred valley. Just an amazing sight. Kauai's famous red dirt is a product of Kauai's volcanic past and the climate. Iron rich volcanic soils and lots of rain produce red dirt by iron oxide.
