Hi everyone: Here we are at the end of our first day. Weather was fabulous. We spent most of the morning relaxing in the sun with coffee on the deck. Took a short tour to get our bearings of the Island and picked up groceries. Took a wonderful walk on the beach to see the sunset...see the pics if I can figure out how to put them on here! The Island is even more beautiful than any of us expected. Can't wait for tomorrow to see more of it!

2 southern belles and a good ol boy

Margaret, Ian and I, are travelling on a winter holiday to St. Simons Island in the State of Georgia. We are leaving behind the winter rains of the British Columbia coast, to spend some time enjoying the warmer sunshine. We're looking forward to taking in some wonderful old Southern architecture, embark on gastronomic adventures with some down home Southern cooking, (Ian, bring along you pepcid!) and most important relax and renew our hard working bodies.
