So the clock is ticking and we still have a zillion things to do!! 😊

Before we can get any travel information booked, Andrea needs:

We'll also need to:

Eventually we'll be assigned a sponsor in Schweinfurt. That person is supposed to help us figure out what happens after we get to Germany. We know we'll have a 3 hour ride back to Schweinfurt from Frankfurt (animals ride under the bus!!) where we'll have to sit through paperwork and more briefings (zzzzzzz.....) Then we'll be in temporary housing on post until we find an apartment in the town. Inmate and Mittens are going to hate this trip!!!

The exciting part is that the unaccompanied baggage takes 30-40 days to arrive; the household goods, about 70 days; and the car no more than 90 days to arrive. So I'm not sure what we do in that first month or two.....It will definitely be interesting! Not to mention the power source is different. I envision us spending a lot of time in the dark resetting the circuit breakers!! (I think of Kristie and her roommate in Spain blowing out the power in their hotel with a hairdryer!) Neighbors are gonna love us!! 😊

And the language barrier should be interesting! We planned on spending 30 minutes each day on German. Well, that was almost 2 weeks ago. Combined, we've done about 30 minutes since then!! Oops!! Looks like 'flugzeug', 'katze', and 'hund' are going to be the only words we can use effectively!!

And while all this is going on, Romas is taking a difficult class. Yesterday, he left at 5:30am came home for an hour for dinner and went back to meet with a study group until 9!! Lots of stress!!!

Who knew you could move to Germany with only 4 weeks of planning!! Apparantly it can be done! We'll see!! 😊
