Day 13 - Washington DC

Had cereal for breakfast. Jayanthi left for school at 7:30 and DB at 8:30 with the children whom he drops off at school. We left at 9:30 with Vishy, a friend of DB who had stayed here overnight. he dropped us at Shady grove station from where we took the metro to Smithsonian station. Bought All Day Pass - $9 each. Saw the Washington monument and the Capitol from a distance. We decided to see the American Museum of Natural History first which we did. Spent hours over there. Got very hungry. R went out and had an egg roll from a thallu vandi. I had some granola bars that i had brought. After spending more time at the same Museum had chicken soup and dinner roll (a small bun). R had Cherry Coke. Then went to the Air and Space Museum, where we spent around 20 mins only. Then took the metro to Shady Grove where we joined DB at 530pm and came home.

Had salad, melon and khus khus for dinner. Shanthi and GS came at 8.30pm. Went to Krispy Kreme for doughnuts. Shanthi and GS left immediately after returning home. Retired to bed soon after sine we had had a long day.

Could not find anything veg. to eat in the museum so went in for a chicken noodle soup...which was horrible...$9 wasted.

Finally at Krispy Kreme. R made us all laugh so much all the way down here..most hilarious car ride.
