Mount Bierstadt
Half way there! Welcome Family and Friends!
We decided to start this journal with hopes that someday we'll completely fill it with travels and adventures. For now we'd like to share one of our recent adventures as a married couple. This weekend we hiked our first "14-ner" in Colorado, Mount Bierstadt. It's one of Colorado's 54 summits that reach over 14,000 feet. We started out enthusiastically at 6am, and according to Backpacker magazine "people in fit shape" should reach the summit in 2 hours: we got there in 4 hours...and had to carry Jello the last 2 miles down the mountain in Tim's backpack...
