Summer Vaction in Breckenridge, CO

This is one of our early family vacations that really stands out in my mind. I had never really been around mountains and snow before this vacation. It wes a big change coming from Texas during summer vacation (100+ deg weather) to Breckenridge, Colorado at an altitude of 9,603 ft above sea level and 30-40 deg weather. There was even snow everywhere, though now I realize it was not much compared to during winter.

But we had a good time driving up there, stayed in a relatives condominium for a week, explored the town and neighboring Frisco. At one point we rented bikes to ride on the trails but gave up quickly due to the cold and lack of oxygen. The highlight of the whole trip was sitting in the hot tub outside, looking at the rocky mountains and having snow fall on my head.

I was young and this was a while ago so this is all I am going to post.
