After allowing ourselves the pleasure of practiced hands, we decided to head to Sonoma Valley to enjoy day sampling a few wines in various wineries. Wonderful entry!
Seems to be a beautiful place ! I'll have to do my homeworks before we visit as I've never pay to visit a winery and have a tasting. At the same time, most of the time, we rather taste than drink. I still remember places in NZ and Austalia, they are stoned when you tell them you don't want to taste all their wines, only this and that. Great entry, and see you very soon!

Great new look
Love the new look of your blog.....and, as always, enjoyed your commentary. We haven't been in Napa or Sonoma Valley for years. Maybe it's time to re-acquaint ourselves. Our trip to SE Asia was wonderful .... very different from any other trips we've taken. We were right up against the China border in Vietnam, Laos and Thailand (there we were right up against the Myanmar border also). So many fantastic memories....we happened to be in Laos and Thailand during the lunar new year (this year April 15ish) and were included in the festivities whether we wanted to be included or not. They don't celebrate with fireworks, instead they "bless" each other and anyone who is in the area with water. We had buckets of water dumped on us while we were in a Tuk Tuk and as we walked down the street. It was great fun....Scott enjoyed it too once he got his camera gear wrapped up in his waterproof jacket. That was just one of our wonderful memories. I wish I had the your dedication to journaling because I know I'm going to regret not writing all our experiences down. Look forward to your next edition. Sonja

Hi Lili
Yes, it does seem like we are on a similar path as PA. They will be in California in August so we are looking forward to meeting. That should be fun. Have a great day and keep in touch.

Looks like it was a lovely day
You obvioulsy had a great day, it looks like a a beautiful area to visit. The town of Sonoma looks like an interesting place. What was your favourite wine of the day? Was there any particular variety that stood out?

You know it's a good blog when you want a glass of wine after reading it....at 10:34 in the morning ;-) absolutely love the main picture.

Hi Chris
We are happy our blog made you consider drinking early. I guess they would frown on that at work.

Great entry!
Love the leisury path with which you explored these wineries and the lovely pictures that go with the narative... Just like it takes time to make good wines, simply no point on rushing when touring wineries! Mmm...guess Sonoma might be on my list next time I travel via San Francisco (which is and remain my favorite city in the US!)

Slow is the very best way to do the wineries.
There are so many to visit it could take years.
