Hiked in the hills above Santa Clara (Silicon) Valley. It's springtime in Northern California and all sorts of flowers are blloming. I just love this time of year. From my home in Santa Clara, it's a 20 minute drive to the entrance of Fremont Open Space Preserve, one of many Open Space Preserves and parks in the area. The hills are part of the Santa Cruz Mountains that form the backbone of elevation between our valley and the Pacific Ocean.
