We had a good trip to San fran on the plane with an hour and a half stop over in Lima (back where it all started!). Then hopped back on for another 9 hours. We slept for a lot of it which was really good and just awoke for breakfast! Disappointed cos it was the same airline as when we flew to Lima on the 1st day and so had the same movies! We were really hanging out to see the hangover 2 cos apparantley its hilarious,.

So we arrived in San Fran at about 8.30am, trained into the city and then bused to Alanna's house without actually getting lost! Incredible! Though very long story but we did have an almost wetting ones self moment on the train, with some very grumpy san fran residents being super unhelpful! "only customers can use the toilet! but you don't understand I have never been so busting in my life!!..."only customers can use the toilet" - he says monotonically!! But after racing to the public library all was good and we headed to Alanna's. She lives in the city so was really helpful! We dropped off our stuff, freshened up a bit ad

headed out for a day of exploring!

It was a stunning day, clear blue sky and super hot! e decided to follow lonely planet's city walk so looked like real tourists. El with her backpack on and walking while holding and reading her lonely planet directions out loud to me, as I stood really being quite unhelpful but very encouraging at the same time! 😊 We walked through China Town and saw some crazy stuff. it was huge! We actually felt like we were in China!!! Went to a place where they make the official foprtune cookies and were disappointed cos we got a free crumb sample but no fortune! hmph...😞 Then headed up this extremely steep street to a big tower (o idea what it actually was!) It cost to walk to the top and seeing as though we are on an extreme budget we flagged and took pics from where we were. We could see Alcatrez from where we were which was cool. And there was some amazing artwork inside the tower also.

We left and got lost for a while before walking down to the Pier, finding a post office and sending things back home,

looking and checking prces of iphones and ipod touches for El, doin a spot of shopping, having an incredible filled bagel for lunch and subway for dinner. We almost fell over when we found out that at subway if you buy 2 or more footlongs after 5pm they are only $5 each! "right said fred we are on an american subway diet just like Jared for the next 5 weeks!!" So I saved half for lunch the next day and El was real hungry so ate hers there. Was very nice but no bbq sauce over here 😞 Honey mustard proves to be a good alternative!

We then headed home, waited up for Alanna and then were out to it by 9pm!! Longggg but awesome day in San Fran! I couldtotally live in this place! It is gorgeous! 😊
