On Friday, I went on a trip with this world culture class to a restaurant called Las Tinajas. The restaurant was on 16th street mission in San Francisco. It was a Nicaraguan restaurant and it was nice. It was pretty small but the food was amazing. I've never had Nicaraguan food before this trip and I wasn't disappointed with the quality of the food. I had luenga en salada which is basically beef tongue with veggies, beans and rice on the side. Beef tongue does sound kind of weird but it was really really good. I would definitely go back to Las Tinajas when I go to San Francisco.
