Broke camp

Took Pictures at Nepenthe of Foggy Coastline

Race on to get a campsite Set up new camp at Veterans Memorial Park

We had wanted to get to Veteran's Memorial in a timely manner because you cannot make reservations and we wanted to make sure we found a campsite. But then, there is all that beautiful scenery you pass through on the way that you must stop and take pictures of. So that is what we did and still made it before 10:00 am. We did so by Nepenthe and took pictures. This trip time got away from us and we did not make it there for even a sunset drink. The sad news was the gift shop was not open and so we didn't get to see what the latest things people really need were. Also we did not get to go out on the back balcony and ring the gongs. The site we had before had already been taken and so we found one that was closer to the restroom.

Got ourselves set up and were ready to fix lunch. Hooray for Paul's table because it was sunny on our table and we simply put the table in the shade and viola, quick and easy lunch. Took a nap after lunch and tried out various configurations to see how we could get the best breeze to flow through. Did get some breeze and were able to get a nap in.

After we had taken our nap and decided it was time to go explore
the city. We cleaned up and headed down the hill. We didn't take the
regular way down the hill but it was a beautiful walk nonetheless.

Went to the Crown and Anchor for dinner. Saw Art but unfortunately did not
sit in his section but did get the visit with him fo a short while. The
food was nice and we had some nice conversations with the people around
us.

Did some walking around to let our dinner settle. Walked down the Fisherman's Wharf and watched the sea lions resting on the platform. They are so funny to watch as they push each other around.

Decided to move on to the Mucky Duck and check out the
music. As usual this place is the place to watch people. It is a mix
of what is Monterey from my viewpoint....people from the navy base,
regulars, young and old all there having a good time. The bands
arrived, we danced and then called for a taxi back up the hill.
