Well what a treat after all the snowy trips I’ve been on recently to find myself on a beautiful beach just an hours drive from Hollywood where our virtual guide Matt lives.

El Matador Beach is beautiful in every direction with massive rocks, caves, birds, and smaller rocks covered in mussels.

It is usually very busy especially in the Summer but today just a handful of people were on the beach.

Matt was able to walk us into the caves formed by the wave action caused by erosion.

This part of the coast is characterized by 150 feet tall cliffs, some parts were covered in a colourful mix of coastal plants.

We could see a few very expensive residences further along the coast but we were happy to stay on the shoreline paddling in the Pacific Ocean with Matt

Having been in Iceland and then Krakow earlier it was nice to see blue skies and sunshine.
