Today Cat and I did Universal Studios as our optional. It was fantastic.
As soon as we got there Cat and I broke away from the group and headed towards Jurassic Park ride. The coach driver told us there would be a que if we did this - but there was not!.
Cat and I jumped on in second row. Seats were very wet. The ride was awesome. Cat jumped a little with stuff jumping out but I had watched the ride on you tube so a bit of the fun was lost. Its so clever, the detail in the ride is great. I didn't find the drop too bad, but as per all photos on rides I did look terrified.
As soon as we got off we went on again a second time. Somehow I ended up heaps more scared the second time there was the drop. It was awesome though. I was completely soaked. Lucky we wore bikinis and board short but I still took ages to dry. Literally we were dripping wet for ages.
After that we headed to the Mummy Ride. 😊 I was a bit scared but it was so fun. There's
no big drops its just fast with sharp turns. It goes forwards and then backwards in pitch black. The detail in this ride is also incredible. I loved it. Makes you feel like there scarbs running over you. We went on it about 4 times. Some kids were also on with us. They were so funny. They knew where the camera was and kept posing stupidly and pretending to be asleep etc. They made the photos. I didn't end up buying any but almost did just for there posing.
We did the backlot tour after that which was good. Saw lots of effects there. Then we just walked around.
We also did the Simpsons ride which was really cool. Its a simulator but very clever.
Terminator 3D was also a show. Really brings you into it with the 3D.
We did Jurrasic Park again in the afternoon. It was pretty scary this time around. Cat and i were pulling on the safety bar trying to pull it down and it didn't move more then an inch or two. I looked around Cat and noticed there was some HUGE guy in our row and the bar wasn't
moving cause his huge body/belly/flab was in the way. The poor guy had us pulling the bar down on him but poor us were thrown all over the place. Scary as!
After that we went to watch Fear Factor until it was time to go home.
Cat and I went to dinner at Denny's and met some other people on tour.
Cat and I also got the bus to Disney to buy our tickets for Disney in the morning. It was pretty cool being that close. The atmosphere outside was even very fun. We bought tickets of an old guy who was the friendliest old man ever. He gave of a Santa Clause vibe. We couldn't wait to go back tomorrow.
