For Sue, Doris & Cyril Had a late night last night, hence no update.
Spent an hour in the Casino's attempting to spend what we had won the day before, only to come out on top! Katie continued to top up her tan, and by the evening we got ready and went out for our last night in Vegas. We started by going straight to Caesars Palace, so that Katie could get her bags. Then had dinner at Joe's restuarant in Caesars which was really nice, watched a couple of the hotel displays. Got absolutely exhausted and crashed out for the night!
Left Vegas $350, 2 Gucci bags, 2 Tiffany rings and 2 tops up!! And only the tops were mine! We headed back via the Hoover dam and onto Kingman to pick up Route 66 where we left it on Sunday.
As we passed through Kingman we took Route 66 towards Oatman, this led us for about 27 miles on a little bit of a hair raising journey. Basically the road had a sheer drop, was only just wide enough for a car in either direction, had sharp turns and no barriers. Nige, at times I'm sure was driving with his eyes

Katie in Nevada, Me in Arizona closed, I just crapped it and Katie, well she just laughed in the back, more relaxed then I certainly was. Being typically British and with Katies Health and Safety skills, we decided it was best to toot our horn around the blind bends! Well try doing that whilst attempting to get round the bends......! Eventually we came to Oatman, which was a tiny villiage in the middle of nowhere, and well worth the drive. Next it was onto Topock and then across the Colorado River and into California.
We continued on Route 66 through some real tiny towns again such as - Amboy, Bagdad and Ludlow, and stopped briefly in Barstow for our daily petrol top up! Just nearing 6.30pm we came into San Bernadino and checked into out Wigwam for the night, Quickly freshened up and drove into Rialto for dinner... TGI's!

Oatman
That road to Oatman was one of my favorites! I am laughing out loud at your description, and just living it again right along with you. ;-) I was going to ask if you saw the donkeys; I see you did. When we took the trip, we didn't spend any more time in Oatman than you did. It was early on a Sunday and everything was closed up. If we get to go again, this is one spot I would like to take more time exploring. Deanna
